The ADA recommends patients from children through adults should see the dentist every six months. Having teeth professionally cleaned and polished prevents tooth decay. X-rays and images from an intraoral camera can detect decay and assess the integrity of each tooth and bone structure. The dentists also perform a preventive oral cancer screening and airway screening.

Patients of all ages receive an oral cancer screening with every checkup to detect the presence of cancerous or precancerous conditions in the mouth. They will visually inspect the area, as well as feel for any bumps or abnormalities. The three-dimensional intraoral scanner gives prescise digital impressions from inside the mouth.
